Noah Rhee started his one-to-one Bible study in 1972 during his freshman year at Seoul National University in Korea, where he was a Mathematics Major. In 1973 through reading Matthew Gospel he was amazed by Jesus’ teaching and made a confession that Jesus is Christ, the Son of God. In 1981 God sent him to America as a missionary. He was sent to Michigan State University (MSU) to serve one-to-one Bible study ministry. He continued in his Mathematics study and God granted him a PhD in Mathematics from MSU. God also granted him a faculty position in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). Since then he has been serving one-to-one Bible study ministry in Kansas City.
